I guess that, as much or more than the books I've read, I would have to say that music affects me that way. I enjoy everything from country music to Tibetan throat singing, from opera to Beethoven to vallenato (one type of 'country music' from Colombia). Also singers, from Frank Sinatra to Roy Orbison to Shakira. Music speaks to my soul in ways that simple words have a hard time matching. (Interstellar is awesome, by the way.) Coincidentally, music prompted me to write this piece. Billy Joel’s New York State of Mind played for me back in July affer we visited there.
